Halloumi is a local cheese from Cyprus and the East Mediterranean. Traditionally it was made just from sheep’s and goat’s milk. Nowadays it might contain some cow’s milk as well. Great for grilling or on the bbq. 250g pre-packed

Halloumi or Hallumi is a Cypriot semi-hard, unripened brined cheese made from a mixture of goats’ and sheep milk, and sometimes also cows’ milk. It has a high melting point and so can easily be fried or grilled. Halloumi is set with rennet and is unusual in that no acid or acid-producing bacterium is used in its preparation. MINIMUM 20% sheep and goat milk and a Maximum 80% Cow milk.
